What that means to you
We will spend time getting to know you, your needs, and the scope of the project.
Our team will bring success to your project through our individual efforts. Each of us has a host of skills we bring to the game. Each of us also has short comings by ourselves, combined we reinforce each other to excel. This includes sub-contractors as well as wholesalers in this business. Philosophy: Treat everyone fairly and support them.
If you can imagine it, we will build it.
Fabrication and manufacturing is our core business. We will bring outsourced goods when the capabilities or cost of producing in house exceeded. Capabilities can be ability or facility related. If we can get it better elsewhere and still be cost effective, then by all means, outsource. If we do not have the time to manufacture it due to commitments, again, get it done through another vendor. We would rather keep you happy and bring in a third party product than making the most money possible from a job and missing the mark. Philosophy: Long term partners are better than short term gains.
What is a visual message?
A visual delivery of an intended message through words, color, imagery and symbols. From billboards down to business cards, it should evoke an emotional response. Being creative and imaginative in the process when possible makes our signs unique. Innovation! Learning what is out there, having a deeper understanding of the industry than the next guy down the block, and being able to make suggestions make us stronger.
By knowing what you want, together, we can be outstanding.
Outstanding can be time based.
Outstanding can be quality based.
Outstanding can be cost based.
We strive to exceed your expectations, and those on your team, by knowing your desires. We start by asking questions and then ask more questions. We can get a jump on this by having you fill in the project request form. Everyone involved has the information they need to fulfill the your wishes and give your project manager a good base of knowledge even before your first meeting.
Limits may be placed upon the possibilities. We may only want to spend so much money on the project. We may have a deadline that prevents certain products from being used. Please make us aware of constraints from you end. We will do so from our end as well. We will do the best we can with what we have been given to work with.
Who we are
VISOVI started out as an idea hatched from the hobbies we had going on in our lives; racing motorcycles and scale models. Kind of an odd mix of passions, don't you think?
The first piece of the company came while putting prefabricated numbers on our motorcycles for racing. The want and desire for custom image fueled the desire to make better graphics. A graphic plotter was acquired. Cut vinyl, in any shape we wanted, was now at our finger tips. Friends started asking for graphics. Our vehicles got covered in stickers. And the word got out.
Larger jobs started coming in. A couple hundred stickers here, five hundred there, and this little hobby suddenly had all the ear marks of a real business without even trying.
The next piece of was the acquisition of a laser cutter/ etcher. This came from being part of the scale model hobby. The beginning was cutting parts for pro typical rail cars and model airplane parts. We won first place with our Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge Caboose that was built in O scale (1:48).
Again, the word got out. We started etching signs and building model parts for friends as well as customers. Again, our little hobby started turning into a business.
Fast forward a couple years, the success from small graphics jobs in the motor sports industry and several custom laser jobs lead to opening up a full time studio.
So.... We need a name.
VISOVI is loosely translated in Latin for "Live for Life". We decided that might just work. The URL VISOVI.com was available, there really was nothing else out there with this name. It was perfect.
We purchased a large format printer, a laminator, a large plotter and a couple desk top computers. Our first office space was located in Sunnyvale, California. We made a logo, printed cards, made a sign, had an open house party and everything.
We were on our way.
The jobs started coming in and we grew. We expanded our business to include electrical signs and large architectural signs. We added in dimensional letters and vehicle wraps. We extended ourselves into the trade show business.
After two year, our Sunnyvale location was no longer suitable for our growing needs. We moved the main office to San Jose and our main fabrication facility in Yuba City.
We are now authorized vendors for several manufacturing companies. Vendors for huge products like Daktronic for our electronic video screen pylons signs all the way down to Plasticade for our prefabricated A-Frames.
And, yes, we still make stickers and models...
